Full job description
Hours: 6.50 hours (7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) Class: III (starting rate $24.83) Duration: student days only Starting October 20, 2026 Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract Position Description: The person in this position will be responsible for providing behavioral support during the school day, both in classrooms as well as lunch/recess supervision. Duties include working one-on-one with individual students to teach and reinforce expected behaviors, supporting small groups of students who demonstrate a need for social/emotional/behavior support, actively supervising students in the cafeteria and on the playground, etc. The person would receive work direction from the associate principal.
Qualifications:

High School diploma required. Highly Qualified Status Required. Preference for two-year post-secondary training.

Must be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with a variety of students and staff
-
May need to lift, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds
-
Must maintain data privacy and confidentiality for all students

Computer skills preferred

Experience working with young children, preferably in a school environment

Ability to take direction
-
Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Calm demeanor in high pressure situations

Experience teaching behavior expectations and supporting students with challenging behavior, preferred Benefits:
