The Public Safety Specialist is a non-sworn, unarmed Public Safety team member responsible for providing a welcoming, professional, and safety-focused presence at designated hospital access points and within the Public Safety Communications Center.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, communications, dispatch, public safety support, hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, staff, and emergency personnel.

Ability to remain calm and communicate clearly during stressful or emergency situations.

Basic computer and technology skills.

Ability to learn and operate assigned communications, weapons detection, access control, camera, and reporting systems.

Ability to successfully complete required departmental orientation and training.
