Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a General Supply Specialist responsible for managing Tool Control, Test, Measurement, Diagnostic and Equipment (TMDE) programs, and responsible for Purchasing supplies and services for Tooele Army Depot.

Duties

  • Maintains extensive and effective contacts with property, financial, and procurement personnel to exchange information, resolve problems, or determine corrective actions needed.
  • Provides follow-up and/or determines status on urgently required, critically short items, or priority items on due-in and due-out registers.
  • Research and purchases range from well established, common-use to technical items described by terminology used in industry and understood by the general public.
  • Provides a variety of narrative and/or tabular material using a personal computer such as supply documents, correspondence, forms, reports, memorandums from rough draft.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing day-to-day supply operations, maintaining inventory accountability, and processing transactions for both standard supplies and specialized assets like tools and Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE); utilizing automated databases and inventory systems to track equipment, resolve discrepancies, monitor turn-ins, and manage logistics documentation; and coordinating shipping, receiving, calibration, and safety tracking for equipment and hazardous substances in compliance with established supply procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as supply management or LL.B. or J.D., directly related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
