SALARY $18.32 per hour
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT JOB CORPS STUDENT
Description
Reports to the facility maintenance manager or designee. Responsible for the completion of a wide variety of tasks to include keeping assigned areas clean and orderly in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAN WORK:

Assist maintenance staff with routine repairs and general facility upkeep.

Perform basic tasks such as painting, patching, minor repairs, moving materials, and replacing fixtures as directed.

Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work areas.

Help inspect buildings, common areas, and equipment for maintenance needs.

Assist with basic preventive maintenance activities.
-
Support grounds maintenance, including picking up debris, landscaping assistance, and general outdoor cleanup.

Assist with furniture and equipment movement as needed.

Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and supplies under supervision.

Follow all campus safety procedures and instructions from maintenance staff.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.

Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with students, staff, and visitors.

Attend scheduled WBL activities and arrive on time and prepared to work.
Must be reliable and willing to work evenings and some weekends.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
