Job Responsibilities:
- Reinforce the instructional plan laid out by the classroom teacher and basic skills teachers by working with students individually or in small groups.
- Plan and prepare study aids such as flash cards and worksheets.
- Monitor and report the progress of individual students.
- Assist with the assessment of student progress.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in working with elementary age students.
- Evidence of a strong background in math and reading.
- Evidence of strong technology skills in order to assist students with technology skills.
- Evidence of the ability to be firm but kind, caring but consistent.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Clear communication in speaking and writing.
- Evidence of friendly, outgoing personality.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Evidence of willingness to participate in staff development.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on a project.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, punctuality, and efficiency.
