Brief Job Description

This position provides services in a skilled trade to support the maintenance of site facilities equipment.

Job Responsibilities (Including Key Result Areas, Specific Accountabilities, Tasks, Etc.)

  • Read SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and excerpts from technical documentation
  • Complete required training
  • Ensure proper documentation practices during job activities
  • Perform visual inspections
  • Conduct troubleshooting activities
  • Gather, organize, and communicate operational information to others
  • Participate in spill control, handling of hazardous materials, and first aid
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities
  • Attend team meetings to discuss progress, initiatives, and/or other matters
  • Monitor equipment and/or systems for performance and problem indicators
  • Perform data entry
  • Read, understand, and comply with cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), including general safety, and lock out tag out
  • Report process deviations when they occur
  • Wear gowning, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required
  • Perform preventative (scheduled) and corrective/emergency (unscheduled) maintenance of equipment, systems, and/or facilities without supervision
  • Ensure proper documentation practices during maintenance processes
  • Perform, in order of priority, work required in response to Facilities equipment requests.
  • Monitor building management alarm system and respond appropriately
  • Perform daily Facility equipment checks
  • Pull necessary parts to complete a work order or ticket

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience maintaining Facilities systems including building fire systems, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, humidifiers and air dryers.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal skills

Preferred Background

  • High school diploma and certification in a skilled trade (electrical, boiler operations, etc.)
  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline desirable
  • 2 Years experience with building fire systems, plumbing, lighting, HVAC equipment (boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, humidifiers, and air dryers), low voltage electrical systems, emergency diesel generators.
  • Relevant skilled trades training or certificates
  • Prior experience with CMMS

Work Schedule: 12 hour day shift - 2/2/3 0600a - 1830p. The work schedule listed reflects the employee’s expected schedule at the time of hire.
