Full job description
We're the leading provider of automated legal solutions for startups in the UK, with offices in London, New York and Paris, and a team in Ireland.
We believe entrepreneurship should be accessible to everyone. Since we launched in 2016, we've served more than 60,000 startups who have collectively raised more than £2 billion on our platform. We've changed how early-stage companies fundraise, reward their teams and scale their businesses, forever.
Our values are key to our success; here at SeedLegals, we:
- Invest and trust in each other
- Are committed to a growth mindset
- Embrace diversity and cultivate inclusion
- Are driven by customer success
Joining our high performing Sales Team, you will spend your time speaking to some of the most interesting founders and senior stakeholders in UK start-ups, learning about their businesses and promoting the advantages of the SeedLegals platform - with a particular focus on our fundraising products. This is a fantastic entry point into a high-growth sales career, with full training and support provided from day one. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who is eager to learn, grow, and build a track record in sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
You'll begin engaging directly with founders and decision-makers at innovative UK startups, learning how to identify the right fundraising product and strategy to meet their goals.
-
With guidance and CRM coaching, you'll build towards managing a 100+ pipeline of startups - learning how to prioritise leads, keep communication timely and professional, and progress deals through the sales cycle effectively.
-
You'll follow our sales process and CRM discipline rigorously - keeping records up to date, logging every interaction, and using the data to stay on top of your pipeline. Good habits here are the foundation of a successful sales career, and we'll train you to make them second nature.
-
You'll develop your ability to listen actively and ask the right questions, gaining an understanding of individual startup needs and learning to demonstrate how SeedLegals can support them - initially with a focus on our core fundraising products.
-
Your primary focus will be on SeedLegals' fundraising solutions - helping founders understand how our platform simplifies seed rounds, SEIS/EIS, and early-stage investment documentation. As you grow into the role, you'll receive structured training on our options and equity products, giving you the knowledge to advise on the full platform in due course.
-
You'll help build positive relationships with founders from initial enquiry through to onboarding and first purchase.
-
Through regular training sessions, team calls, and exposure to founders, investors, and serial entrepreneurs, you'll rapidly build a working knowledge of the UK startup and fundraising landscape.
-
You'll be encouraged to share ideas and feedback - whether on the product, the sales process, or the customer experience. We value fresh perspectives and want you to feel like a stakeholder in how the team evolves.
-
You are ambitious and hungry to build a career in sales
-
You have some background or genuine interest in business, finance, or law
-
You are a self-starter who also enjoys working as part of a team
-
You are excited by the idea of speaking with startup founders every day
-
You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
-
You enjoy building rapport and are naturally curious about people
-
You are eager to learn quickly and develop deep product knowledge
-
You have strong people skills, with the ability to listen, empathise, and engage
-
You have a growth mindset and actively seek out feedback and improvement
Previous sales experience is a plus, but not essential - we're looking for the right attitude and aptitude above all else. Share options: the option to buy shares in SeedLegals via our performance-based share option scheme
- Contributory pension, private healthcare, critical illness cover + life insurance
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
- Buy and sell annual leave scheme
- Flexible working - hybrid/remote model with London office access
- Weekly allowance for a free lunch in the office
- £250 working-from-home allowance to set up your home office
- Annual learning budget for training courses, conferences and books
- 3 paid work days per year for volunteering
- Access to Happl - with monthly flexible spend on wellbeing
- Cycle-to-work scheme
- Free lunch in the office once per week
