Description
360 Live Media is looking for an Account Manager to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role serves as a key member of the client services team, responsible for managing client relationships and leading the successful delivery of integrated marketing and event engagements for large-scale trade shows, conferences, and events.
The Account Manager serves as a primary day-to-day client contact, connecting client goals with the expertise and resources across 360 Live Media. This individual is responsible for understanding the client's business and event objectives, translating those objectives into actionable marketing and event strategies, coordinating multiple workstreams, and providing thoughtful counsel throughout the planning and execution process.
The ideal candidate has 6+ years of agency account management or client services experience with a strong background in both marketing and large-scale trade shows, conferences, or live events.This individual understands how marketing strategy, audience acquisition and engagement, creative, exhibits, event operations, production, and the attendee and exhibitor experience work together to drive event success.
This person does not need to be the subject matter expert in every discipline. They do need to bring strong marketing instincts, understand the nuance and complexity of large trade shows, know the right questions to ask, recognize risks and opportunities, engage the appropriate experts, and confidently provide client counsel.
What You Will Do

Serve as the primary day-to-day client lead for assigned accounts, developing a deep understanding of client goals, audiences, organizational dynamics and priorities, and event objectives.

Lead the planning and execution of complex client engagements, including large-scale trade shows, conferences, and live events with multiple stakeholders and interconnected workstreams.

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, scopes, and status reporting from project kickoff through onsite execution and post-event evaluation.

Lead client meetings, planning sessions, status calls, and onsite meetings, driving decisions, establishing clear next steps, and ensuring accountability and follow through.

Provide thoughtful client counsel, drawing on your own experience and engaging 360 Live Media subject matter experts when specialized expertise is needed.

Understand how key trade show functions intersect, including event strategy, exhibits and sponsorship, attendee and exhibitor marketing, operations, production, creative, registration, housing, and onsite experience.

Anticipate dependencies, risks, and potential challenges across event workstreams and proactively bring forward recommendations and solutions.

Coordinate cross-functional internal teams and subject matter experts across strategy, creative, marketing, sales, event operations, production, and other disciplines to ensure integrated delivery.

Partner effectively with external event partners and vendors, including convention centers, general service contractors, production partners, registration providers, and other key suppliers.

Monitor account scope, budgets, schedules, and profitability, proactively identifying potential issues and managing changes in scope or client expectations.

Develop and review client-facing presentations, recommendations, meeting materials, reports, and other deliverables, ensuring they are strategically sound and client ready.

Understand how key trade show functions intersect, including event strategy, attendee and exhibitor marketing, exhibits and sponsorship, creative, operations, production, registration, housing, and onsite experience.

Participate in onsite event execution, serving as a trusted client partner, coordinating across teams, and helping resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Identify opportunities to strengthen the client relationship, improve event outcomes, and deliver additional value.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
-
6+ years of account management or client services experience within an agency environment.
-
Direct experience supporting the marketing and delivery of large-scale tradeshows, conferences, conventions or live events
-
Strong marketing foundation with experience in areas such as audience strategy, campaign planning, messaging, content, creative development, digital marketing or attendee acquisition and engagement.

Strong understanding of the complexities and interdependencies involved in planning, marketing, and executing large trade shows.
-
Demonstrated experience serving as a primary client contact and independently managing complex client relationships.
-
Experience coordinating projects involving multiple internal disciplines, external partners, vendors, and client stakeholders.
-
Working knowledge of the trade show and event ecosystem, including convention centers, general service contractors, exhibit operations, sponsorship, event marketing, production, registration, housing, and other event partners.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex project plans, budgets, scopes, schedules, and competing priorities.

Proven ability to lead client meetings and communicate confidently with senior-level clients, executives, internal teams, and external partners.

Ability to provide thoughtful client counsel while recognizing when to engage specialized subject matter expertise.

Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and navigate the ambiguity and fast-moving nature of large events.

Exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to remain composed, flexible, and solutions-oriented during onsite event execution.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability and willingness to work from theWashington, D.C. office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, conferences, and events, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with associations, professional societies, or membership organizations.

Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns for conferences, tradeshows, or other large events.

Experience supporting events with significant exhibit and sponsorship programs.

Experience working with convention centers, general service contractors, production partners, registration providers, and other event vendors.

Experience contributing to event strategy, attendee experience, exhibitor experience, event marketing, or revenue-generating programs.

Experience contributing to account growth, renewals, expanded scopes of work, or new business opportunities.

Familiarity with project management platforms such as Teamwork or Monday.com
