JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to join our award-winning team. Our client is a nationally recognized leader in the home remodeling industry. As a member of the Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring residential window and door projects move efficiently through the permitting process.

This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, service-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects, municipalities, and permitting requirements simultaneously.

The Permit Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the permitting process from application through approval, working closely with internal teams, municipalities, building departments, inspectors, homeowners, and installation partners to ensure projects remain on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit permit applications for residential window and door projects
  • Coordinate permitting requirements with municipalities, building departments, and local authorities
  • Track permit applications from initial submission through final approval
  • Monitor multiple permit applications and deadlines simultaneously
  • Follow up with municipalities regarding outstanding applications, corrections, approvals, and inspections
  • Review project documentation to ensure applications are accurate, complete, and meet local requirements
  • Identify missing information or documentation that could delay the permitting process
  • Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Installation, and Operations teams to obtain required documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, corrections, inspections, and related documentation
  • Communicate permit status and potential delays to internal teams
  • Coordinate inspections when required and ensure inspection requirements are properly documented
  • Maintain organized digital files and permitting records
  • Ensure all required documentation is properly submitted and filed
  • Assist with resolving permitting issues and discrepancies as they arise
  • Stay organized while managing a high volume of projects and deadlines
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department
  • Assist the Operations team with additional administrative and project coordination responsibilities as needed

  • Willingness to learn internal systems, permitting portals, and project management software
