Summary:

The Sales Trainee position is designed for candidates with a strong interest in sales and customer service. Over a 12-18 month period, you will learn all aspects of the electrical wholesale business. Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Account Management, Outside Sales, Purchasing, Operations and more! The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, exemplifies stellar time management and communication skills, and is excited to be empowered and involved in business goals and initiatives. This role is intended to provide the tools and training to find success in a sales-focused role such as inside sales, project management, quotations, and outside sales.

Reports to: Location or Division Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Bachelor’s Degree (business preferred)

• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• Able to speak, read, and write in English

• Able to use a computer, smart phone, and tablet with relevant applications

• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong sales/negotiation skills

• Experience working in a warehouse/blue collar work environment

• Strong attention to detail and time management

• Ability to solve complex problems

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on the trainee’s current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods. Various segments will include some travel – both by car and by air.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

• Learning all aspects of the CED business

• Attending classes online as well as in-person at various locations

• On the job training and mentoring

• Establish, develop, and maintain relationships and rapport with solar customers

• Goal planning with Division and Training Managers

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $55000 to $60000 annually.
