Location: Evansville, Indiana (along the scenic Ohio River)

Facility Name: Ascension St. Vincent Evansville

Schedule: Full-Time

Incentives: Sign-on Bonus, Relocation Assistance

CME: $4,250 allowance with 5 dedicated CME days

Malpractice: Covered with tail

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Join 16 physicians and 16 APPs

  • Compensation structure:

  • $650,000 one year guarantee, loan forgiveness, commencement bonus, relocation; Earning potential in year two and beyond exceeds first year guarantee on a lucrative production model

  • Call structure: 1:8 light home call

  • Practice setting: Mixed (primarily outpatient clinic with inpatient rounding 1x every 2 months)

  • Access to advanced cath lab (including Watchman, TAVR, high-risk PCI, renal denervation), on-site CT surgery backup, and advanced cardiac imaging

  • Drive clinical excellence by utilizing evidence-based decision-making and key procedures (TEE, DCCV) to maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes

  • Enhance patient access and heart care through collaborative outpatient and inpatient consultations, maintaining an average clinic volume of 15–20 patients per day

  • ACGME Internal Medicine residency involvement optional

  • Mentorship opportunities available for advanced practice practitioners and medical students

  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

  • Fellowship training in Cardiology required

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills dedicated to patient-centered, collaborative care

  • Active participation in continuous quality improvement, office policy creation, and community advocacy
