The SRP manages production sequencing, resolves capacity and material constraints, reacts to forecast and supply volatility, and works cross-functionally to ensure execution of the production plan. The role requires close coordination with Operations, Materials Management, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and MPS to maintain schedule attainment and minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Release and maintain production orders to support manufacturing execution.

  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans as operational conditions change.

  • Manage production priorities and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.

Capacity & Constraint Management

  • Review factory capacity utilization and identify potential production constraints.

  • Analyze resource availability, labor, equipment, and production capacity to ensure schedule feasibility.

  • Escalate risks and develop mitigation plans to maintain supply commitments.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Operations to ensure production priorities are aligned and executed.

  • Collaborate with Material Planners and Schedulers to confirm material availability.

  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to manage product disposition and minimize schedule disruption.

  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Receiving teams to ensure smooth execution of the production plan.

  • Provide consolidated supply updates and communicate risks to stakeholders and leadership.

Planning Processes & Meetings

  • Lead planning activities associated with the executional planning horizon.

  • Participate in CDPS and production meetings to align on priorities, sequencing, capacity, and risks.

  • Support weekly planning handoffs and planning review processes.

  • Review production performance and attainment metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Monitor planning alerts and resolve exceptions impacting production execution.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in planning processes, production sequencing, and schedule attainment.

  • Analyze production data and provide fact-based recommendations to improve operational performance.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce changeovers, increase throughput, and improve service levels.

  • Support implementation of planning tools, reporting enhancements, and operational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, manufacturing operations, or related field.

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Exposure to finite scheduling, production sequencing, capacity planning, or supply planning processes preferred.

  • Experience utilizing ERP or planning systems such as SAP, o9, APO, Kinaxis, or similar tools preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to changing business needs.

  • Strong organizational skills and ownership mentality.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across Operations, Materials, Quality, Warehouse, and Supply Planning functions.
