American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for an Human Resources Intern, this position is located in Findlay, OH.
- HR Intern position located in Findlay OH, we are looking for a Part Time HR Intern and the hours a based upon the candidate’s school schedule.
- This position will report to the Human Resources Manager, this is an onsite position, and we will not be paying for relocation.
- You must be a US Citizen.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting Talent Acquisition in sourcing new candidates
- Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
- Screening potential hourly production employees' resumes/application to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies.
- Assisting in posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
- Launching and completing onboarding process via the applicant tracking system.
- Assisting in coordinating new hire orientations.
- Assisting in responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters.
- Maintain monthly team member newsletter.
- Help plan and execute team member recognition and retention initiatives.
Requirements
- Studying for a degree in human resource management or related field.
- Proven experience working in an office environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws, a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
