We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Arlington, VA office as part of our Federal Buildings & Infrastructure team. Collaborating with our expert architects and engineers, you’ll design structural systems for a variety of building types including airports, government and mission-critical facilities, data centers, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. You will lead technical efforts, mentor team members, and manage concept-to-completion project delivery while balancing structural scope, schedule, and budget. As a senior engineer, you will participate in quality control reviews, interdisciplinary coordination reviews, and value engineering studies, and you will help establish design standards for use across offices and regions.

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis

  • 8+ years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM)

  • Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE)

  • Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior staff

  • Experience with construction support services

  • Demonstrated independent initiative and ownership of work

  • United States citizenship

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Structural Engineer (SE) license

  • Familiarity with Federal client standards and project delivery requirements

  • Familiarity with design-build or early contractor involvement delivery methods

  • United States security clearance, or the ability to obtain
