Consultant – Data Engineer

Job Duties

Involved in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile or Scaled Agile methodologies. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data storage solutions on Databricks, leveraging Delta Lake and other relevant technologies to meet evolving data requirements. Enhance code quality, maintainability, developer experience, and ensure adherence to best practices for data privacy, security, scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance. Apply strategic problem-solving, strong analytical skills, collaboration, adaptability, innovation, and effective communication to achieve client deliverables. Develop, maintain, and optimize data solutions within Databricks and other relevant platforms. Participate in Agile/SCRUM meetings and leverage tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSMS (SQL Server Management Services) to ensure efficient data integration and management processes. Act as a repository for data pertaining to the organization or its specific subsets. Develop and optimize code and logic that facilitates data transformation from raw sources to final reports. Refactor legacy code and implement enhancements to current codebases. Resolve conflicts and data issues during the integration of different versions of client systems. Translate data mapping requirements into robust backend data architectures. Continuously acquire new domain knowledge and technical skills to maintain a comprehensive understanding of data deliverability and system architecture. Ensure compliance with end-client standards and industry best practices. Maintain or exceed compliance with industry standards. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines rigorously to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Ability to design and maintain complex data warehouses. Monitor system performance to ensure optimal functionality. Develop data pipelines to facilitate efficient data movement across the organization(s). Translate business user requirements into logical processes that drive data pipelines. Oversee the performance, scalability, and maintenance of production data systems. Investigate and resolve data issues promptly. Perform maintenance and integrate data for existing systems. Develop and execute detailed project plans. Engage in direct communication and collaboration with end clients, utilizing various modes such as email, teleconferences, and meetings. Will use Agile or Scaled Agile Methodologies.

Work site: 1600 Utica Avenue South, Suite 650, St. Louis Park, MN 55416. Position is based out of and reports to Concord’s HQ in St. Louis Park, MN but allows for the option to telecommute from home anywhere in the U.S. and may be required to travel to and work from unanticipated client sites throughout US. Travel is anticipated to be up to 50% depending on work requirements. Concord requires all new hires to undergo background checks.

Minimum Education Required

Minimum Educ/Exp: Masters’s degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science or related discipline and two years of related Business and/or IT experience, professional services, and/or Big 4 consulting experience.

Must have two years of experience in the following:

• Active participation in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Agile or Scaled Agile Methodologies

Minimum Experience Required
