Fulfillment Buyer - Temporary

FULFILLMENT BUYER - TEMPORARY We are a progressive procurement organization pushing the boundaries of traditional procurement reputation and methodologies. We are looking for individuals who can think outside the box to achieve company objectives regarding value and partnerships with our suppliers. Our organization moves quickly, and you must too. SpaceX has the unique ability and desire to influence and shape suppliers to be better with us as we challenge our supply chain on cost, quality and delivery. This role will support purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders (capital projects, facility management, production, etc.), and nationwide facilities. We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review purchase requests and issue purchase orders in a timely manner without error
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
• Review quotes to ensure those are complete and align with SpaceX terms
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time
• Expedite parts/services as necessary
• Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers
• Support buyers in cost savings initiatives
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projects
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement process improvement initiatives in order to reduce order processing time and cost

POSITION DETAILS: This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.

• LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)
• LOCATION: McGregor, TX
• SHIFT: 1st shift (start times may vary)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree; or 4+ years of professional experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Purchasing experience, specifically related to indirect buying
• Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
• Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
• Familiarity with data analysis tools including Microsoft SQL and PowerBI

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• This position is based in McGregor, TX and requires being onsite - remote work not considered
