Description: Job Title: IR/Cath Lab Tech Unit: Cardiology Employment Type: Per diem Shift: Day Shift (7am-5:30pm) Per Diem Requirements: Requires 1 full weekend of call (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) per 6-week schedule, 3 weeknight shifts of call (Mon-Thurs) per 6-week schedule, and 1 holiday per year. Location: Nazareth Hospital

Position Purpose Responsible for assisting the Physician during procedures analyzes hemodynamics and EKG, removes sheaths, and uses sterile technique to set up laboratory.

As an IR/Cath Lab Tech, you will

  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures

  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility

  • Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs

  • Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X‑ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures

  • Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices

  • Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly

  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff

  • Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards

  • Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record

  • Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post‑procedure care and transport

  • Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory

  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree required.

  • BLS required

  • ACLS required

  • ARRT and/or RCIS certification required.

  • Previous IR and Cath Lab experience in hospital setting required.
