Full job description
We have an outstanding Contract position for aMaterials Engineerto join a leading Company located in theSanta Rosa, CA surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $55-$75 Hourly
US Citizenship is required.
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Basic Hiring Criteria:

10-15 years of experience in advanced thin film coatings.
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field.
-
Experience running the technical development and production of advanced thin-film-based technology solutions.
-
Strong collaborative team member that thrives in a dynamic technology environment
-
Previous leadership experience is a plus.
-
Experienced thin film materials and process engineer.
-
Extensive experience with sputtering and evaporation designs and processes to produce optical thin-film based products.

Can be involved in mentoring and training entry level engineers and manufacturing technicians.

Acts as primary technical contact to internal Program Managers for multiple projects.

Expertise using one or more thin film design tools such as TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, FilmWizard.

Competent with various advanced analytical and metrology tools.

Solid communication skill to support engagements with customers, vendors and colleagues at all levels within the organization.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: focus on driving disciplined, fact-based and data-driven decisions while executing with discipline and urgency.
