Procurement Manager

Location: Attleboro, MA

Job Type: Full-Time | On-site

Pay Range: $125,000 to $160,000

Job Summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnered with a well-established company in the utility infrastructure and renewable energy space to help them hire a Procurement Manager. This role will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities supporting electrical utility distribution, substation, and utility-scale solar projects ranging from approximately $1M to $200M.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing and procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracted services required for major construction projects.

  • Develop strong supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, quality, and overall value.

  • Evaluate supplier financial stability, contractual compliance, performance, and delivery capabilities.

  • Partner with Project Managers and Estimators to develop procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and requirements.

  • Manage supplier selection, performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure materials and services are available when required by project schedules.

  • Work closely with Operations and project teams to address quality issues, non-conformances, and vendor performance concerns.

  • Support the continued development and implementation of procurement policies, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications and Must-Haves

  • Experience managing procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain activities within construction, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or a related project-driven environment.

  • Strong supplier negotiation, vendor management, and contract management capabilities.

  • Experience purchasing equipment, materials, and/or subcontracted services for complex projects.

  • Ability to evaluate supplier performance, identify risk, and resolve procurement or quality issues.

  • Strong understanding of project schedules and the impact procurement activities have on project execution.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Project Management, Estimating, Operations, and external suppliers.

  • Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details: $125,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
