Summary: Greets and escorts arriving and departing guests; assisting with bags

The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greets guests, provides information, responds to inquiries, complaints and concerns; coordinates with other departments to meet guests needs.

  • Escorts guests to accommodations, visually inspects room and points out room features.

  • Retrieves guests’ items from vehicles and transports to designated room.

  • Organizes and stores luggage in the designated area.

  • Delivers morning newspapers, mail, packages, and other items to guest room.

  • Cleans and maintains Hotel Lobby area; cleans and polishes carts, other equipment, and Courtyard

Required Knowledge of:

  • Basic computer hardware and software applications.

Required Skill in:

  • Providing guest service.

  • Operating computer hardware and software applications.

  • Communicating both orally and in writing.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and six (6) months hospitality or guest service work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, occasionally subject to varying temperatures and possible adverse weather conditions.

  • Work is subject to frequent sitting, prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Work requires intermittent use of hands to finger, handle, grasp, and feel.

  • May be exposed to blood and body fluids, drugs, unsanitary conditions, and infectious and communicable diseases.

  • May be exposed to tobacco smoke and occasional loud noise.

Equipment and Tools Utilized:

  • Equipment utilized includes Bell carts and other equipment, small hand tools., personal computer, standard office equipment, telephone, two-way radio.
