Full job description

Description

We are looking for a Blackline Administrator to join the Corporate Accounting team in Milford, Massachusetts in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing the BlackLine platform, with emphasis on reconciliation and task management capabilities that help maintain accurate, reliable financial operations. The position partners closely with accounting, finance, IT, and audit stakeholders across a global organization to strengthen system performance, improve user adoption, and advance process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer BlackLine access by maintaining user profiles, security roles, and permission structures to support appropriate governance and usability.

  • Configure and monitor application settings to promote stable performance, protect system integrity, and align the platform with business needs.

  • Coordinate data movement between BlackLine and connected financial systems, including imports, exports, and integrations, while preserving data quality and consistency.

  • Develop, update, and refine standard operating procedures and user guidance to support financial processes and effective system usage.

  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to improve reconciliation workflows, expand automation opportunities, and strengthen adherence to internal controls.

  • Provide end-user assistance and training, helping teams resolve issues, adopt new functionality, and use the platform effectively in day-to-day operations.

  • Track product updates and new features, recommending and implementing enhancements that improve functionality and user experience.

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that deliver actionable financial insights and support informed decision-making.

  • Contribute to projects affecting the BlackLine environment, including system-related changes, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives tied to the application.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of experience administering BlackLine, either within a multinational organization or through consulting work on multiple BlackLine implementations.

  • BlackLine Administrator certification is required.

  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes, including account reconciliation and financial controls.

  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP or S/4HANA, along with familiarity with system configuration and connected business processes.

  • Ability to manage priorities independently, solve complex problems, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Proficiency in analyzing business needs and translating data, process, and system information into practical recommendations and improvements. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
