We are currently hiring a Security Manager for the Atlanta Hub . This position will be responsible for developing and administering policies and programs to ensure all facilities have effective company security procedures and techniques. Oversees proper emergency evacuation procedures and training. Implements policies for access control to DHL facilities. Acts as a liaison with law enforcement officials. Ensures security of all company property, employees and visitors. Investigates theft, fire and sabotage by employees, customers or other personnel. Provides technical expertise and knowledge in compliance with the regulations of regulatory agencies such as the FAA, TSA, Homeland Security and U.S. Customs. Prepare and present training classes and informative instructions to U.S. employees.

May lead others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems; cross-department considerations are often present

Requires creative and innovative thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-department problems

Normal work hours, with adaptations to 24/7 calls and the ability to respond in short notice. Periodic third shift coverage will be needed for PM operations

Concerned with problems that have a direct and important effect on business programs and results

Serves as consultant to management on major matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives
-
Further, duties, responsibilities and activities may vary depending on the location and also may change from time to time due to business needs of the company
Skills & Qualifications:
-
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or 8-11 years’ experience in related field or MS/MA, and generally 5-7 years’ experience in related field
-
Professional certification required in some areas
-
Light work (exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently and or a small amount of force constantly to move objects)
-
Extensive travel, approximately 50-70% of travel required, both in/outdoors, professional, office, at times surveillance required
