Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Associate for a leading utility infrastructure client. This individual will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of electric utility projects involving transmission, distribution, substations, and overhead power programs. The Project Associate will partner closely with Project Managers to assist with scheduling, budget and milestone tracking, outage coordination, project documentation, stakeholder communication, and overall project execution. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals or candidates transitioning from field-based utility or construction roles into project management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, eager to learn utility operations, and excited to build a long-term career supporting critical energy infrastructure projects.

Skills and Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, utilities, construction, engineering, or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with transmission/electrical power lines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
  • Comfortable learning technical utility concepts
  • Team-oriented and coachable mindset
  • Experience supporting electric utility projects
  • Background in transmission, distribution, substation, or utility operations
  • Field experience such as line work, utility crews, or construction support
  • Interest in growing into a project management career path Experience with outage planning and coordination
