Job Description

Northwest Community Health Center is looking for a full-time Medical Records Clerk who will also provide support in the organization’s registration and front office. The successful candidate will be responsible to coordinate incoming and outgoing medical information to ensure that NWCHC’s patient electronic medical records are complete and processed accurately and according to state and federal laws. He/she will regularly communicate with medical providers to obtain additional information; responds to requests for medical records, electronically file patient data upon receipt of information, processes letters and reports, scans records and documents for filling in patient’s electronic medical record and sends and receives information via fax and secure electronic exchange. This role serves as an organizational resource for patient access and privacy rules. Reception duties will be as needed and include greeting and registering persons arriving or calling the clinic, scheduling appointments, and answering incoming calls.

Job requires high school diploma, computer skills with word processing, spread sheets, etc, excellent customer relations and communication skills, adherence to strict confidentiality standards, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions. One year recent or relevant experience in health care is preferred.
