Help Us Keep Safety at the Center of Everything We Do!

Viking Pest Control is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Safety Coordinator to help ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment across our pest control branches.

In this role, you'll work closely with management and employees to develop and maintain safety programs, provide training, identify and reduce workplace risks, respond to safety incidents, and help ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation, vehicle, and other applicable safety regulations.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions

  • Provide and assist with defensive driving courses and training

  • Lead incident investigations and use root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and help prevent recurrence

  • Provide training on workplace safety regulations, hazard recognition, emergency response, CPR and first aid, and environmental management systems

  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports related to safety incidents, compliance audits, and risk assessments

  • Help ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials

  • Support employee health initiatives related to occupational and environmental health standards

  • Stay current on safety regulations and environmental and legal compliance requirements

  • Partner with management to develop policies that promote employee health and a strong workplace safety culture

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding safety compliance matters

  • Assist with other safety-related responsibilities as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments with a focus on workplace safety management

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA/environmental compliance standards, hazardous materials regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices

  • Experience with safety training, incident reporting, and root cause analysis

  • Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and environmental health standards is highly desirable

  • Experience with regulatory and legal compliance standards in production environments is preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

  • A commitment to creating and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment
