About the Position: This position is located at General Leonard Wood Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

• Develop and implement business rules for appointing, template scheduling, referrals, and authorizations to simplify, integrate, and standardize processes.
• Collaborate with contracted appointing services and managed care support functions, as well as the Referral Management Office, to optimize beneficiary care and staff support.
• Advise senior leaders on the identification, development, implementation, evaluation, and management of health care delivery systems.
• Manages the patient portal and secure patient messaging platform to promote access to appointments and timely communication.
• Assign work and priorities; reviews output for policy compliance and service effectiveness; ensures quality, quantity, and accuracy standards are met.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues affecting health care delivery operations; conducts systematic observation and evaluation of contractor performance; provides technical advice to stakeholders.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes managing and improving access-to-care operations by strengthening appointment and scheduling processes, coordinating referral and contracted services, advising leadership on health care delivery processes, overseeing patient communication platforms, and providing supervisory support to administrative staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
