The Expedited Carrier Specialist role is an important Carrier facing sales role working exclusively with our Iowa Expedited team. This is a full-time opportunity to join a growing division with direct mentorship from the Director of Expedited, and it comes with high potential for above average, uncapped commission along with significantly higher responsibilities and expectations. The Expedited Carrier Specialist has the following job duties:

• Build and maintain relationships with carriers to handle various needs.

• Prospect new carriers to continuously grow their partner carrier network.

• Collaborate with the Iowa Expedited team and report directly to the Director of Expedited to ensure customer freight is transported with trusted 3rd party carriers.

• Track and trace shipments through both GPS and Driver communication methods.

• Consistently develop creative solutions for shippers through ongoing training and continuous development.

The ideal candidate will have the following traits and skills:

• Strong work ethic with the ability to perform high level work with minimal supervision.

• Stellar organization with the ability to keep a neat workflow.

• Time management is a critical factor. There will often be high volumes.

• Availability during normal working hours, after hours, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to adapt to a variety of situations. No two days are the same on Iowa Expedited, so if you enjoy the challenge of crafting quality solutions in a fast-paced environment, this team is the place for you!

• Candidate must possess the ability to productively manage high pressure periods.

• Ability to take direction and implement feedback from the Leadership team.

• Team player who can clearly communicate needs and expectations to Carriers working on your customer’s freight.

• Other tasks and duties as assigned by Leadership

Position Specifics:

• Hours will vary based on team needs; applicant must have open availability.

• This position works exclusively with the Iowa Expedited team.

• Applicant must have a strong work ethic and be able to solve problems in a chaotic and challenging work environment.

• Volume and intensity increase significantly during peak season (Nov 1st – Dec 31st), and we are hiring now so the selected candidate can be fully trained and equipped before peak arrives.
