Full job description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support digital media operations for a respected museum organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position focuses on the organization, quality review, and accessibility of digital assets used across online platforms, publications, and audience-facing experiences. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate media records, strengthen asset workflows, and collaborate with technical partners to keep content dependable and easy to access.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the intake, organization, and post-production review of digital media assets throughout their lifecycle.

  • Apply consistent metadata standards to image and media files while maintaining accurate records within the NetX digital asset management system.

  • Oversee storage practices and file maintenance to ensure media assets remain secure, searchable, and available for authorized users.

  • Administer user permissions and access settings within the digital asset environment to support appropriate security controls.

  • Perform quality checks to confirm media files and related data remain aligned across asset management, content, collections, web, and presentation platforms.

  • Work with internal technical teams and external partners to resolve issues affecting media updates, automated workflows, and cross-system synchronization.

  • Monitor recurring synchronization processes for digital assets and take corrective action when discrepancies or delivery issues arise.

  • Create and maintain documentation for media production procedures, workflow standards, and common use cases.

  • Run audits and reporting on asset metadata accuracy and provide performance insights and metrics to department leadership as needed. Requirements • Experience supporting digital asset management, media coordination, or marketing operations in a detail-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with DAM platforms such as NetX and an understanding of metadata tagging, file organization, and asset retrieval practices.

  • Ability to review digital files for accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting across multiple systems and channels.

  • Working knowledge of marketing support functions such as email campaigns, direct marketing initiatives, and event-related coordination.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate synchronization issues and collaborate on technical resolutions.

  • Proficiency in documenting workflows, maintaining organized records, and producing routine audit or performance reports.
