Description/Job Summary
Lindahl Reed is hiring an Energy Technician to assist the MCRD Energy Manager (EM) and Public Works Office to achieve a robust energy management program through accomplishing actions/projects by adhering to energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals. The Energy Technician will assist with inspection and troubleshooting the performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), boiler, chiller, and other energy intensive systems and equipment. The Energy Technician will work with engineering and shops to identify and correct anomalies in energy and water usage. The Energy Technician will support energy awareness and training requirements. The Energy Technician will also assist with the implementation of actions/projects in support of utility accounting, energy projects, and facility maintenance, repair, and construction activities, as well as other activities to ensure that energy efficiency measures and water conservation measures are incorporated into all actions, as directed.
Position Responsibilities

Assist with energy engineering activities.

Support the analysis, development, and implementation of energy solutions.

Conduct inspections, collect energy data and process/analyze/organize the data in a prescribed format (spreadsheets, reports, briefing slides, etc.) for review and submission of deliverables and maintaining project documentation.

Provide technical support, conduct data analysis, and apply energy knowledge for the completion of actions under the direction/oversight of the engineering staff.

Support training and coordination of events as necessary to enhance the energy program.

Provide assistance with energy reporting.

Assist with other installation-specific requirements, as requested.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Level 2 Energy Technician- High school diploma or an energy technical certification and 2 years of experience.

Experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems, steam and hot water boilers, chillers, and other energy intensive systems and equipment a plus.
Benefits:
Part-time roles working less than 20 hours per week are not eligible for company provided benefits.
