Job Title: Data Center Superintendent Job Description

As a Data Center Superintendent, you will oversee the department, recruit and train team members, manage workload distribution, and make key decisions regarding performance, promotions, and pay. You will serve as the customer's primary point of contact, ensuring quality and safety on every job while guiding projects to completion and turnover. Additionally, you will implement project process improvements and training procedures to achieve target metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, and lead a team of technicians in data centers.

  • Manage workload distribution and make decisions on team performance, promotions, and pay.

  • Serve as the customer's main point of contact, ensuring quality and safety on all projects.

  • Guide projects from initiation to final completion and turnover.

  • Identify and implement project process improvements.

  • Develop and implement training procedures for operators on standard operating procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience leading teams of technicians in data centers.

  • Comfortable managing technicians and solving operational issues.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with direct reports.

  • 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.

  • Experience in establishing site culture and enforcing quality standards.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and project documents.

  • Proven track record of defining, scoping, and managing projects to completion.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with clear written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project) and adaptability to new project management systems.

  • High School diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Ability to travel to San Francisco.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Company provides a comprehensive benefits package that generally includes a competitive salary, equity options, and standard full-time employee health coverage.
