Building Automation Systems Programmers create and provide a complete programming package to the project team including a sequence of operation, virtual points, pre-tested programming, and onsite functional testing for assigned projects. The objectives of building automation are improved occupant comfort, efficient operation of building systems, reduction in energy consumption and operating costs, and improved life cycle of utilities. As lead programmer, you will set standards for automation programming and use of automated programming tools.
As a Senior Building Automation Systems Programmer, you will:

Write programs and virtual points for approved submittals

Provide pre-sale assistance for labor estimating
-
Create functional testing documents and flowcharts
-
Set up virtual and physical testing system to test programs prior to release
-
Create functional testing check-out sheets to be included in the Specialist’s check-out book
-
Assist Graphics Designer with incorporating dynamic point information into graphics
-
Review design content to provide Specialists with the information needed to optimize start-up and commissioning
-
Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) to identify specification discrepancies and request clarification, and determine the cost impact of requested changes
-
May provide onsite assistance with functional testing, and expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and entry-level employees
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or state-recognized GED
-
4+ years of experience programming HVAC systems and developing HVAC controls strategies
-
Electro-mechanical experience (either in a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skills
-
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand design and construction documents
-
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
-
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree

The pay range for this position is $59,048 - $101,225 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. #LI-KS1
