The Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management (https://knsm.tamu.edu/) (KNSM) within the College of Education and Human Development (https://education.tamu.edu/) at Texas A&M University (https://www.tamu.edu/) is accepting applications for a faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Human Cardiovascular Physiology. We are seeking candidates with leadership abilities who are capable of garnering external funding and who could mentor faculty and doctoral students. Strong candidates will be emerging or established scholars with an impactful research program that will advance the current department's research strengths, related to exercise physiology, cardiovascular physiology, aging and related cardiovascular diseases, exercise and nutrition intervention clinical trials, and environmental cardiovascular physiology. The candidate will become an integral part of the kinesiology faculty with expectations to engage in independent and collaborative transdisciplinary research, aggressively seek funding opportunities, provide research mentorship for students, as well as teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and be involved in service responsibilities.

Appointment: This is a full time, 9-month position with a start date of August 1, 2027. Eligible candidates will have tenure review upon hire. Salary, benefits, and compensation packages are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Qualifications

Required - Candidates must hold a terminal degree (Ph.D.) in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science with emphasis in Human Cardiovascular Physiology or related field.

Candidates must provide evidence of:

• A history of scholarly work focused on human exercise intervention studies on cardiovascular physiology-related areas.

• A record of peer-reviewed publications in high-quality journals and presentations at national meetings.

• Training and experience in human subject research.

• A strong history of external funding and feasible plan for acquiring additional external funding at Texas A&M University for cross-disciplinary research.

Preferred - Significant publication, external funding (including federal funding), and/or post-doc experience.
