We are seeking a highly driven Technical Sourcing Recruiter to support talent pipeline development for a fast-paced DoD/aerospace environment. This role is responsible exclusively for candidate sourcing, market mapping, talent identification, and outreach for cleared and non-cleared technical talent. The ideal candidate has experience sourcing for aerospace, defense, engineering, manufacturing, and government program-related roles and understands how to engage talent in highly competitive, niche markets.

This is not a full-cycle recruiting role. The Sourcing Recruiter will focus on building top-of-funnel pipelines and delivering qualified candidate leads to the recruiting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Source active and passive candidates for technical, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate roles within a DoD/aerospace environment.

• Build talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and recurring roles, including cleared professionals and specialized technical talent.

• Conduct market mapping and competitor research to identify target companies, talent pools, and candidate availability.

• Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, internal databases, referrals, networking, and other sourcing channels to identify qualified candidates.

• Develop and execute candidate outreach campaigns to generate interest and response from passive talent.

• Perform initial qualification screens focused on core experience, work authorization, clearance status, technical background, and interest level.

• Partner with recruiters and hiring teams to understand position requirements, target profiles, and sourcing priorities.

• Maintain accurate candidate activity, pipeline notes, and sourcing metrics within the ATS and CRM.

• Build diverse candidate slates while aligning sourcing strategies to business needs and compliance requirements.

• Stay informed on labor market trends, defense hiring dynamics, and competitive intelligence relevant to aerospace and government contracting talent.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting or talent sourcing experience, with a strong focus on proactive sourcing.

• Experience sourcing for aerospace, defense, government contracting, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly regulated technical environments.

• Demonstrated experience sourcing for hard-to-fill technical roles such as systems engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, program managers, manufacturing engineers, quality professionals, and supply chain specialists.

• Familiarity with cleared recruiting environments and understanding of security clearance designations such as Secret, Top Secret, and SCI preferred.

• Strong Boolean search skills and experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and resume databases.

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft personalized outreach to passive candidates.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting hiring for DoD programs, federal contractors, or aerospace manufacturers.

• Knowledge of defense industry terminology, government program structures, and compliance-sensitive hiring environments.

• Experience sourcing candidates with active security clearances.

• Exposure to engineering and technical skill sets across product development, systems integration, avionics, software, manufacturing, and program execution.
