About Us

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support mechanical maintenance and reliability improvement projects across cement plant operations.

  • Analyze equipment performance data and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, uptime, and safety.

  • Collaborate with engineers and plant teams to troubleshoot mechanical systems and resolve operational challenges.

  • Assist with project planning, equipment inspections, and development of maintenance documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant performance and sustainability.

What Are We Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and aptitude for learning engineering and maintenance systems.

  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality work in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

  • Hands-on experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to plant operations, maintenance activities, and engineering projects.

  • Frequent interaction with production, maintenance, and engineering professionals.

  • Combination of office-based work and time spent in operational areas of the plant.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
