This internship is intended for students in their penultimate academic year, who are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.

In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based Interns. Benefits for this role include:

  • Health, dental, vision insurance

  • Sick Time: 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance

  • Holidays: 13 paid days per year

Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.

  • Project, lab, or coursework experience in cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols, or investigative/incident response environments.

  • Experience with programming or scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Go, Bash, or SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time.

  • In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.

  • Experience in one or more security disciplines: SOC analysis, threat hunting, malware analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research.

  • Familiar with fundamentals of operating systems, including Linux, macOS, or Windows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on building or maturing cybersecurity programs and the implementation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security.

  • Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex and highly technical subjects.

  • Implement or assess existing security controls.

  • Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations. Track and drive to close any issues that impact the service and its value to clients.

  • Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders and other groups within customer environment to drive resolution for security issues.
