Full job description

The Production Operator 1 is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for safely operating equipment, monitoring product quality, and supporting efficient plant operations. Team members learn production processes, safety standards, and equipment operation while contributing to a safe, productive, and quality-focused work environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate assigned production equipment following safety and work procedures.

  • Monitor product quality and complete required inspections and documentation.

  • Perform basic equipment care, housekeeping, and report maintenance issues.

  • Follow all safety requirements, including use of PPE and Stop Work Authority.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and participate in training and continuous improvement activities.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures.

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.

  • Ability to perform basic measurements, inspections, and complete production documentation.

  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools after training.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required by the job.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the work shift.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support continuous improvement activities.

  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
