Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Home Care Aides (HCAs) to provide non-medical in-home care services to seniors, adults, and children with disabilities throughout Alameda County over the weekends.

Guaranteed Hours between 7am and 11pm Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday. Shifts are a minimum of 4 hours.

Responsibilities

• On-call is an option. If on-call, the hired candidate will be paid for the entire time they are on-call, working or not.

• Provide companionship and emotional support -Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting -Assist with ambulation and transfers as needed -Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary -Perform light housekeeping and laundry

• Provide medication reminders -Assist with errands, shopping, and transportation

• Observe and report changes in client condition -Maintain accurate service documentation

Qualifications/ Requirements

-Weekend availability -California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration or willingness to obtain registration before hire

• Reliable transportation, requirement to travel anywhere in Alameda County -Ability to communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus) -Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, or personal care experience

-CPR and First Aid certification, or willingess to obtain -Experience supporting individuals with dementia

• Authorized to work in the United States

Compensation -All hours spent working with clients are paid at $22-25 /hr -All non-working on-call hours are paid at $16.90 /hr -Expect to work with clients 50% of the time, and remain on-call / not working the other 50%.
