Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will serve as the Chief of Staff in the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Program Office supporting Navy’s hypersonic capability.
  • You will exercise delegated authority over a highly technical, workforce.
  • You will coordinate and unify a staff of supervisors who oversee advanced interdisciplinary engineers, senior program analysts and program managers.
  • You will exercise authoritative persuasion to resolve critical disputes over resources and scheduling among competing national defense programs, ensuring the CPS hypersonic mission maintains absolute priority.
  • You will ensure all interdisciplinary efforts (engineering, science, intelligence, finance, and security) are seamlessly integrated to meet aggressive, Congressionally mandated fielding timelines.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a large senior/diverse team of both military and civilian employees by managing decisions, strategy and organizational effectiveness to meet mission objectives and absolute priority. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: Program Management Series 0340 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability to successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or final job offer being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment. You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position. Several vacancies may be filled.
