Full job description

Assembly Technician- Pay up to $19/hr-$22/hr- IN.

Location: Brookston, IN

Pay: $19-$22/hr

Shift: 1st shift- 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble large electrical switchboards using hand and power tools.

  • Read blueprints, tape measures, and work instructions.

  • Build metal frames and complete mechanical assembly.

  • Perform basic wiring and wire harness assembly.

  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy.

  • Use power drills and other assembly tools.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow safety and production procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

  • Experience using hand and power tools.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally 70 lbs).

  • Comfortable working on ladders or step stools up to 7 feet high.

  • Comfortable with bending, kneeling, squatting, and repetitive assembly work.

  • Must have steel-toe or composite-toe boots.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or assembly experience.

  • Experience reading blueprints or schematics.

  • Mechanical or electrical assembly experience.

  • Wiring or soldering experience.

  • Automotive, farm, mechanic, or hands-on trade experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookston, IN 47923.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
