Environmental Control Technician
2nd Shift, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday – Friday
With ability to train on 1st shift
$20.00 - $30.00/ hour DOE plus 10% shift differential

RESPONSIBILITY:
Operate and maintain industrial water treatment equipment.
JOB DUTIES:
-
Demonstrate the proper utilization of treatment chemicals following all safety measures.
-
Run metal bearing batch treatment loads.
-
Operate and maintain:
-
AA unit.
-
Treatment pumps.
-
Metal bearing filter press.
-
Sludge dryer.
-
D.I. unit.
-
Industrial Water Treatment System.
-
Ultra-filtration water treatment system.
-
Various waste treatment related records.
-
Demonstrates the ability to properly operate equipment such as plating process filtration, auxiliary filtration, ion exchange equipment, etc. and understands the importance of ensuring all valve positions are in their proper position before running said equipment.

Is a Hazardous Materials Response Team Member.

Operator is required to work with hazardous materials and hazardous waste. Must be successful in passing pulmonary function type physical per standard 1910.134 as it relates to using a respirator.

Must be able to wear and use respiratory protection as required, which includes being clean shaven where the respirator seals against the face.

EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Minimum one (1) year experience preferred.

Science background helpful.

Must successfully complete a 24-hour HAZMAT technician training within 60 days that includes hazardous waste operation and emergency response.

- Position requires individual to be capable of traveling & working throughout the entire facility, within reasonable accommodation. The noise level is usually moderate.
