As a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician with CPS Solutions, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medication services. In this role, you will collaborate with pharmacists and clinical teams to prepare medications accurately, process orders promptly, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards-contributing to high-quality patient care.
Pharmacy Location: Located within Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA
Schedule: Primarily day shift hours with a rotating schedule, including approximately every third weekend. Team members are scheduled across a variety of day shifts based on department needs, and start/end times may vary.
Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

Process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems

Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency

Prepare and compound medications (including IV admixtures and sterile products) following hospital protocols and USP standards

Process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgency

Deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units

Maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates

Support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation

Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery

Comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license

Recent Pharmacy Technician experience

Experience with medication preparation, dispensing, and order processing
Preferred Qualifications:

Hospital pharmacy experience
-
Sterile compounding and IV admixture experience
-
Experience with automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs)

Inpatient pharmacy experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
