In a culturally competent manner, perform confidential partner service (PS) follow up and management of sexually transmitted infection (STI) assignments. Observing program guidelines, appropriately manage and prioritize all STI assignments - mainly syphilis, HIV and STI/HIV co-infections.

Perform timely and mainly within program performance standards confidential STI and HIV surveillance and PS case management investigative and contact tracing activities - surveillance record searches, pre and post-test counseling, interviews, field investigations, congenital syphilis and perinatal HIV surveillance management.

Document, within program performance standards, all surveillance efforts, disease intervention and PS case management activities.

Actively participate in staff developmental trainings to ensure that quality performance of disease intervention is reflective and effective in accordance to procedures and standards prescribed by DPH and STD/HIVNH Section standards.

Participate in DPH emergency operations plan responsibilities relative to health outbreaks, emergency situations and disasters as assigned. State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and related experience. Positions may require the successful completion of agency-provided training or credentials. Employee is subject to on call during non-business hours. Some positions require the incumbent to travel to multiple locations within a workday. Significant travel within the state may be required.
Agency Additional Requirements: Bachelor's degree in physical or social sciences from an accredited - college or university or ten (10) years working in public health programs, ideally focused on STD/HIV with medical or investigative duties and responsibilities.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Fifteen to twenty (15-20) years working in public health programs, ideally focused on STD/HIV with medical or investigative duties and responsibilities as well as some training and staff development skills and experience.
