The phlebotomist verifies patient identification prior to collection. Additionally, the phlebotomist maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic techniques, following department or special procedures. The phlebotomist is responsible for processing reference laboratory specimens, completing orders accurately, billing proper patient accounts, processing manual laboratory reports and assisting in any additional duties within the department.

Requirements:

Phlebotomy experience or successful completion of Phlebotomy training in an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
