Full job description

Provides pharmacy services and ensures the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders.

This role is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $15,000 and up to $5,000 in relocation reimbursement

The Inpatient Pharmacy at Main Campus supports 60 Nursing Units, 80 Operating Rooms, 4 PACUs and 10 Cath Labs This dynamic team will support you to build expertise across a variety of clinical and operational pharmacy settings.

Caregivers in this role rotate through our Central Pharmacy, Neurology, and Pediatric Satellite Pharmacies while receiving advanced training in sterile products and stroke response. Additional opportunities to practice in the Emergency Department further enhance professional growth and clinical experience.

Caregivers work a 7-on/7-off Night Shift schedule from Monday night through the following Monday morning.

Eligibility for incentive pay will be determined based on the actual number of hours worked per pay period.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.

  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.

  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.

  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.

  • Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.

  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire

  • Two years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience in an inpatient or acute care setting

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1) or fellowship

  • 3-4 years of direct critical care experience

  • Board certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.

  • Must have normal or corrected vision.

  • Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $112,110.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $170,955.00

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
