Job Description

Support the full lifecycle of alternative investments by partnering with operations, investment teams, and client service professionals to deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders and clients. Responsible for coordinating capital calls and distributions, managing client intent and approval processes, processing subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers, maintaining accurate investment records, reconciling positions and cash activity, and ensuring compliance with operational controls and industry best practices. Collaborate with custodians, fund administrators, and internal teams to resolve exceptions, manage time-sensitive fund activity, and maintain audit-ready documentation while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of alternative investment data across systems.

Skills and Requirements

  • Have a 4-year college degree with an emphasis in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a similar field. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for a college degree

  • Have 4+ years of investment operations experience, including meaningful Alternative Investments middle office experience

  • Understand capital call and distribution processing, including notice review, cash coordination, transaction booking, deadline management, and reconciliation

  • Have experience partnering with investment teams and client service professionals to manage the client intent process from decision through execution

  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards and operational practices across private equity, private credit, real estate, hedge funds, and other alternative investment structures

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize deadline-driven activity, and exercise sound judgment when addressing exceptions or incomplete information

  • Display strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, communication, and relationship-management skills, and take immediate ownership of your work

  • Possess a strong control mindset and a commitment to accurate, complete, and well-documented processing

  • Value working collaboratively with investment, client service, finance, compliance, technology, and operations partners to deliver an excellent client experience

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, and the ability to analyze and reconcile operational data • Experience with Salesforce and Canoe is a plus

  • Experience with investment accounting, reporting, custodial, workflow, or document management platforms is also a plus

  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a commitment to learning evolving Alternative Investment products, structures, regulations, and operating practices
