Production Associate & Machine Operator Positions Available - 1st or 2nd Shift - Pay up to $22/hr

Job Description:

The Production Associate oversees a fast-paced production line manufacturing various fasteners for automotive customers. This role performs quality checks, supports material handling, and assists with machine operation to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate production and shipment of finished goods.

Shift Details:

  • 1st Shift - 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

  • 2nd Shift - 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production line that produces various fasteners for multiple automotive customers.

  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Unload hoppers and prepare boxes and packaging for shipment.

  • Utilize an RF scanner to track outgoing inventory and maintain accurate records.

  • Load boxes of fasteners onto conveyors in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Perform minor maintenance on production machines as needed to support continuous operation.

  • Assist with other production tasks as required, including general labor and packing.

  • Operate manufacturing equipment and support running the production line as directed.

  • Use hand tools and basic troubleshooting techniques to address minor issues during production.

  • Follow all safety procedures and perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with facility standards.

  • Support material handling activities as needed, including moving and staging materials.

Essential Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1–2 years of previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.

  • Previous material handling experience is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.

  • General labor and general production experience.

  • Experience operating manufacturing machines or running a production line.

  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality checks and inspection.

  • Basic machine operation and machine operating skills.

  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.

  • Troubleshooting skills for minor production and equipment issues.

  • Packaging, packing, and assembly experience.

  • Forklift experience is beneficial.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with RF scanners for tracking inventory.

  • Prior experience in automotive or fastener manufacturing is advantageous.

  • Previous material handling responsibilities in a production or warehouse setting.

  • Strong reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a production team.

Work Environment

The facility is extremely clean, organized, and safety-focused, with approximately 180 total employees across Ohio and Michigan locations, and the Ohio site serving as the larger operation. The role is based in a manufacturing environment that involves operating production lines, using RF scanners, hand tools, and other standard production equipment, and performing material handling tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Standard shifts include 1st shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) and 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.), with an additional 1st shift option of 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. for quality department roles. The dress code is relaxed, and steel-toe footwear is not required; a uniform program is available for those who choose to participate, supporting both comfort and professionalism on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
