Full job description

Food Service Associate

Head Start (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/home-based-and-preschool-programs) is looking for friendly and caring individuals to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for enrolled children each day. As Food Service Associate you will:

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snack foods

  • Transport food and related materials to sites

  • Put food from kitchen into serving containers for family style service

  • Assist in classroom meal service as necessary

This position has school breaks and summers off.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED/HSED; one year experience in food preparation; knowledge of acceptable food handling and sanitation procedures; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license.

Pay Range Guide:

  • Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements

  • Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)
