The College of Nursing is seeking a motivated Master's nursing student to serve as a Graduate Assistant. The Graduate Assistant will assist with multiple research projects in hospice and palliative care, nursing education, artificial intelligence, health services research, and systematic reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature searches and assist with evidence synthesis.

  • Assist with survey development and participant recruitment using Qualtrics.

  • Follow up with participants enrolled in the Panther RISE Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) study to promote survey completion, provide reminders, and maintain participant engagement

  • Manage research data and perform preliminary analyses using SPSS.

  • Prepare tables, figures, references, and manuscripts.

  • Assist with IRB applications and research documentation.

  • Help prepare grant proposals, conference abstracts, posters, and presentations.

  • Organize project files and support day-to-day research activities.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester).

  • Must be in good academic standing.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester).

  • Must be in good academic standing.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • Two years of related experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Current graduate student at PVAMU.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with SPSS, Qualtrics, or research methods is preferred but not required.
