Director, Shared Services

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Shared Services to lead high-performing engineering teams responsible for the reliability, maintenance, enhancement, and continuous improvement of our enterprise software portfolio. This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, and operational excellence to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions. As an engineering leader, you will coach and develop software engineers, drive Agile delivery, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional customer and business outcomes.

Skills and Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. •7+ years of professional software engineering experience. •3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams. •Experience supporting and enhancing production business applications. •Experience leading Agile software development teams. •Experience managing multiple priorities across a portfolio of applications. •Experience with software delivery, incident management, and release management processes.

Strong understanding of: •Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) •Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) •Object-oriented design and software architecture •CI/CD pipelines and release automation •DevSecOps practices •Source control and branching strategies •Automated testing frameworks •Application monitoring and observability •Secure software development •Performance optimization and scalability
