We are seeking a Procurement and Supply Specialist 1 to join our warehousing team at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center in Shoreline, Washington. This position is a great opportunity for someone beginning their career in procurement and warehouse operations and requires 100% onsite work. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ordering goods and supplies for the facility’s commissary warehouse. You will support warehouse operations by ordering products, receiving orders, stocking, pulling orders, delivering, maintaining the fuel management system, inventory counts, supporting the dietary warehouse, and ensuring that deliveries are organized and distributed across campus. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role that supports the daily needs of the people who live and work at the facility. This is a great opportunity to build hands-on experience in inventory and warehouse operations while supporting the day-to-day needs of Fircrest RHC. You’ll work as part of a supportive team that helps ensure essential goods and supplies are available where and when they are needed to support facility operations and the people we serve. King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use. Work performed onsite at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

Please note: This position is an entry-level position, and the starting salary is commensurate with experience.

Some of what you’ll do:• Performs procurement, warehousing, and distribution functions of consumable supplies, equipment, and materials in accordance with state laws, agency policies and procedures, and requirements.

• Place orders for products, supplies, and other goods to maintain adequate inventory levels to meet facility needs.
• Receive deliveries, verify quantity and quality of items, and coordinate distribution of items across the facility.
• Complete cycle counts and other assigned inventory activities.
• Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve any issues with orders or deliveries.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, inputs receipts, and forwards documentation to the fiscal office for timely vendor payments.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safely stocked.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and residents.

What we’re looking for: An Associates of Arts Degree in Purchasing management, Business Administration, or closely allied field AND one year of full-time purchasing experience. Full-time experience as a purchasing professional will substitute on a year-for-year basis.
